Homemade granola is a delicious way to start the day. Here's how to make this yummy breakfast treat.

First, combine the oats, nuts, seeds, coconut and other dry ingredients in a large bowt. Stir honey, oil and spices together in a second bowl. Then, pour over the dry ingredients and toss to coat. Next, spread the oats onto a greased baking pan and bake at 150 degrees until golden brown and toasted, about 30 minutes. Stir the mixture halfway through for even baking. Then, add any dried fruit after the granola is out of the oven.

This will keep it soft and chewy and that touch of residuaf heat from the granola helps intensify its flavours. Transfer the granola to a large piece of foil to cool before storing.

It will keep about a week at room temp or up to 2 months in the freezer, if it lasts that long.
