PROJECT
Work in a team of four to prepare a class presentation. Choose one of the ideas below or discuss other ideas with your teammates. Then use the checklist to help you work as a team.
Chosen topic: Keeping a local park clean
1 What role will each person play in the team? Anna will be the team leader, Max will be the note-taker, Olena will be the time-keeper, and I will be the group representative who presents the final slides to the class.
2 How are you going to divide the topic and tasks? We will divide the project into four main tasks: researching the current problems in the local park, taking photos of the area, creating the presentation slides, and preparing the spoken speech.
3 What task does each person want to do? Why? Anna wants to do the research because she is good at finding facts online. Max wants to take photos because photography is his hobby. Olena wants to design the slides because she is great at using presentation software. I want to prepare and deliver the speech because I feel confident speaking in public.
4 How long will each of the tasks take to complete? The research and photo collection will take two days, designing the slides will take one day, and practicing the speech together will take one afternoon.
5 Which tasks need to be done first? And after that? First, we need to collect information and take photos. After that, we will combine the materials to create the digital presentation, and finally, we will rehearse our speech as a group.
6 How can you show respect for other team members? We can show respect by listening carefully without interrupting when someone shares an idea, finishing our assigned parts on time, and offering help if a teammate is struggling.
