8. Write your story.
While I was closing my curtains one night, I noticed something unusual. I saw a light on in my neighbour’s living room, which was strange because they were on holiday. Suddenly, I saw a shadow move past the window. I realised someone was inside the house!
Immediately, I ran to my parents and told them what I saw. My dad called the police while my mum and I were watching the house from my window. A few minutes later, a police car arrived with no lights on. Two police officers went to the door. Luckily, they caught the burglar before he could steal anything. The next day, our neighbours called to thank us. It was a very exciting night!
