Talking Points
Should schools offer the same sports to girls and boys? Or are some sports for boys and others for girls?
I think schools should offer the same sports to everyone. The story shows that girls can be amazing at BMX, which people sometimes think is just for boys. If you like a sport, you should be able to play it. There shouldn’t be “sports for boys” and “sports for girls”.
Do you think there is too much sport on TV? Why / Why not?
Sometimes it feels like there is a lot of sport on TV, especially when there’s a big championship (чемпіонат). But I don’t think it’s “too much” because many people love watching sports. It’s exciting to see professionals play. I prefer playing sports more than watching, but it’s still cool to watch sometimes.

The last time I watched a sports event was last weekend. I was watching a football match on TV with my dad. It was a very important game between two famous teams, Dynamo Kyiv and Shakhtar Donetsk. The atmosphere was incredible, even just watching from home! My favourite team, Dynamo, was winning for most of the game, but then Shakhtar scored in the last few minutes and it was a draw. I was a bit disappointed, but it was a very exciting match. It was the best game I’ve seen all season.

It was a really close game against a team from another school. In the first half, they were winning and we were a bit worried. He then scored an amazing basket right at the end!
4. Did you enjoy it? Why?/Why not?
Yes, I really enjoyed it! It was the best game ever! I was very happy because we won in the last few seconds. I really enjoyed taking part because everyone on the team played so well together. It was a fantastic feeling.
